To avoid catastrophic climate change, countries need to limit global warming to no more than 1.5°c above pre-industrial levels.
The Climate Change Response (Zero-Carbon) Amendment Bill is a piece of New Zealand legislation that aims to address these warnings by codifying the reduction of New Zealand’s carbon emissions to net-zero by 2050.
The Bill will help establish a framework that the Government can use to deliver clear, stable and balanced policies, in accordance with the Paris Agreement, which New Zealand joined in 2015.
Public submissions for the Bill have recently closed and we anxiously await the second reading.
At Facilities Integrate - we believe we have a moral duty to address the important issues of climate change within the building management industry.
This is why we’ve introduced the Climate Change Response Zone at the 2019 trade show.
