Chris Hails

Panelist: Chris is security services manager at New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA). He is an information/cybersecurity specialist with an interest in cyber-enabled crime and social engineering. He has 20 years’ experience in both small start-ups and large corporates, delivering significant business benefits through the adoption and integration of digital technologies.

As a qualified journalist, project manager and information security professional (CISSP, CISM), Chris combines hands-on technical knowledge with a passion for communicating about risk management and security issues in plain English. Chris’s key skills include cybersecurity frameworks and controls (NIST/ISO/NZISM/PSR/CIS CSC), threat modelling, incident triage and response, standards-based secure web development, enterprise content management systems, ecommerce, digital project management (PRINCE2 and Agile) and accessibility and usability testing.
